Automated Emails in Click Contracts

Click Contracts now provides added clarity around the automated email feature, so you always know exactly what's being sent to the listing agent and when — before it goes out.

Written by Karina Mae Cariaga

This article is about checking the automated email — seeing the template and the attachment before anything goes out. To set one up in the first place, see Step 5 of Writing a Buyer Offer, which covers the question, the custom message and who else gets copied.

Where to find it:

At the Sign & Send Stage:

1. When creating an offer, check whether Automatically Email Offer to the Agent on the Listing Side is set to Yes. That question is in Transaction Parties, and Writing a Buyer Offer shows it.

2. Proceed to the Sign and Send stage.

3. You’ll see a clarification section showing:

  • The email template that will be sent to the listing agent.

  • A preview of the PDF that will be attached to that email.

The Automated email to other party section showing a recipient name, email address, role and CC line, with a thumbnail of the attached document beside its name, and an Edit email button

Each recipient with their role, the CC line, and a thumbnail of every document being attached. Edit email changes the message before it goes.

Inside the Envelope Section of a Transaction:

1. Open a transaction and navigate to the Envelope section.

2. Open the relevant envelope and scroll down.

3. You’ll see Automated Email to Other Party, along with a preview of the PDF that will be attached to the email sent to the other agent.

The section lists each recipient’s name and email address, a CC line where one applies, and thumbnails of the documents themselves — click one to open the current version.

If you do not see the section

It only appears on envelopes that actually carry an automated email. If the offer was created with Automatically Email Offer to the Agent on the Listing Side set to No, there is nothing to show and the section is not there — that is the expected result, not a fault.

One thing to know about older envelopes

On envelopes created before this feature existed, Click did not record which documents went with the automated email. For those, the preview shows every document in the envelope rather than only the attached ones.

So on an older envelope, treat the preview as the envelope’s contents rather than a precise list of the attachment. On anything created since, it is exactly what the other agent receives.
