Use Shared access when an agent who already has their own Click account needs to work in yours: a co-listing partner, a teammate at another brokerage, or someone covering your deals. They keep their own account, and they switch into yours from their menu.
If the person doesn’t have a Click account yet, add them to your account as a user instead. See 📤 Invite Users & Update Roles 🫵.
Who can use it
Your account must be a real estate account on a paid plan.
Only your account’s Super Admin can turn invitations on or off.
To send invitations you must be an Agent, not an Assistant, and your role needs the Invite agents from other accounts permission. The Super Admin role always has it.
The person you invite must be an active Agent with their own Click real estate account on a paid plan. Assistants and transaction coordinators can’t be invited this way. If an assistant or transaction coordinator already has their own Click account, contact support.
Open Shared access from your own account. It doesn’t show while you are switched into another account.
Step 1: Turn on invitations (Super Admin, once)
Go to Settings → Users and open the Shared access tab.
Switch on Invite agents from other accounts.
Tick the roles whose members can send invitations. Super Admin is always included.
Click Turn on invitations.
To change who can invite later, click Choose roles next to Can invite:.
Step 2: Invite the agent
In Shared access, click Invite an agent.
Under Agent’s email, enter the email address they use to log in to Click.
Choose what they get. Give my same permission level is on by default: it gives them the access you have today. Switch it off to choose for yourself:
Envelopes & transactions and Contacts: Off, View or View & edit, for the Whole account or Only my data.
Account tools, such as Envelope settings or Subscription & Billing. Only a Super Admin can give these.
If a Sensitive access box appears, answer it. Only my data limits the agent to your own envelopes, transactions and contacts. Continue keeps what you chose.
Click Send invitation.
The right side of the window shows What this agent will get. The agent sees the same summary before they accept. Their own work is always included. Managing users and roles, and inviting agents, are never shared. The invitation expires after 30 days if they don’t accept it.
Step 3: What the agent does
They get an email, “[your name] invited you to work in [your account]”, with a Review invitation button. The invitation also shows in their Click menu (their name in the bottom-left corner) under INVITATIONS, with a Review button.
They must be logged in with the email address you invited. They read what you shared, then click Accept invitation or Decline.
After accepting, they click Switch to [your account]. Later, they choose your account under CHANGE ACCOUNT in the same menu. See Account Switcher.
While they work in your account, their sidebar shows GUEST ACCESS. Your access shows what you shared, and Leave [your account] ends their access.
If they decline, you can invite them again after 7 days.
Step 4: See or change access
The Shared access tab lists invitations and access under Awaiting acceptance, Active and Past invitations. A Super Admin sees everyone’s. Other members see only the invitations and access they gave. Click ⋮ on a row:
Cancel invitation: the link in the email stops working.
Send again (expired invitations): the invitation is sent again and lasts another 30 days.
Edit access: changes apply right away. The agent isn’t notified.
Remove access: the agent loses access right away. If they are working in your account, they go back to their own. Files they downloaded or forwarded stay with them.
Access that Click support set up before invitations existed is listed here too. A Super Admin can remove it.
Turning invitations off cancels the invitations still waiting for an answer. Access already accepted keeps working.
If the invitation can’t be sent
We can’t invite this email. The address doesn’t belong to an active Agent with their own Click real estate account on a paid plan, the person is already a user in your account, or they declined your invitation less than 7 days ago. The message is the same for every reason.
You already invited this agent. The invitation is waiting for them.
You already share access with this agent. Change it in Shared access.
This agent already has access to this account, set up another way. For example, Click support set it up.
This account has sent 50 invitations today, the daily limit.
If the agent already accepted an invitation from one of your teammates, no new invitation is needed. Click Give access to add your access right away. They get an email about it.
Good to know
What they create in your account stays in your account, also after their access ends.
With Only my data, the agent can make only you the Envelope Owner of the envelopes they prepare in your account.
Forms are limited to the categories open to every role.
If the teammate who invited them is deactivated, what that teammate shared is paused. It comes back if the teammate is reactivated.
The agent needs an active, paid plan on their own account to work in yours.
