Steps
Open a transaction and navigate to the Documents tab.
Click Forward Documents in the row of actions above the checklist.
Forward Documents is an action for the tab, not an option on a single document.
Tick the documents you want to send. You can send several in one email.
Add the recipients, either by typing an email address or with Choose from my contacts.
Adjust the subject and message if you want to, then click Send.
Pick the documents on the right, the people on the left.
Tips
Double-check recipient details before sending to ensure delivery to the right party.
Tick Send a copy to me if you want the email in your own inbox as a record.
The action only appears when the transaction has documents to forward. If you cannot see it, file a document against the checklist first.
Forwarding is switched on per account. If it is not there at all, contact support.
Contact support if you experience any issues with document delivery.
When to Use Forward
Forward sends a copy of the document as a PDF. It does not send a signing link.
Use the Documents tab and the Forward option when an envelope is already completed and you need to deliver the signed PDF to a client, co-agent, lender, or title company.
If a signer still needs to sign and is not receiving their email, do not use Forward. It does not include a signing link. Open the envelope and use Send to signer instead, and have the signer add [email protected] as a safe sender in their email. See Resending an Envelope to a Signer for the full troubleshooting steps.
