Using Whiteout Tags

Whiteout tags can be used to over write anything already printed on the contracts.

Guide to Placing Whiteout Tags on Contracts

1. What whiteout tags are for

  • Obscuring text that is already printed on a contract.

  • Useful when the terms do not allow certain changes.

  • For example, keeping a commission percentage blank for a listing appointment.

2. Identify the text

  • Find the text on the contract you want to white out.

3. Place a text box over it

  • Pick the Text tool from the tag list.

  • Place the text box over the text you want to cover.

4. Resize it

  • Resize the box so it covers only the text you mean to hide, such as the commission percentage.

5. Turn on Whiteout

  • With the text box selected, open the three dots in its toolbar.

  • Turn on Whiteout.

A selected text tag with its three-dot menu open, showing Required, Read-only, Whiteout and Send to back

Whiteout belongs to the text tag. No other tag type offers it.

6. Check the result

  • Download the document to see the whiteout applied.

  • Precise placement improves the result — a box slightly too large will cover text you meant to keep.

For the other tags you can place in the same step, see Tags - How to use them.
